Hello, it’s been some time since I wrote to you. I’m not great at keeping in touch, but I’ll try my best.
How was your weekend? I hope it was eventful. Mine was, well, fun. I really like conversing with you this way (though it’s a one-way conversation). It’s fun and so mysterious.
Anyway, I was craving for something sweet, so I made dessert. And my extremely honest, cousin took a taste of it and said, “Yuck, it’s not nice.” Ugh, kids. Please give me a minute while I wipe away my tears. Seriously, a minute.
Since, my 5-year-old cousin was brutally honest with me, perhaps I should be honest with you as well. I’m not going to give you any advice, especially since you didn’t ask me for it.
Have you ever loved someone and not had your feelings reciprocated? I have. I’m writing this to someone you might or might not know. Someone who is already getting better.
Do you think we purposely choose people who are not right for us? Are we all masochists is some weird way? Have you ever chosen someone who is not right for you?
It could have started anywhere. At a restaurant, when all you wanted to do was finish your damn drink, dance and then get home. Or a message when you were busy chatting with a friend. From that moment, when “love” comes knocking at your inbox, or comes offering you a drink… you know, it’s trouble.
You start talking, you have fun. you have great chemistry, you think you can make it and you can start seeing a future. Not a marriage-future, not everything has to end in a marriage, Everyone who sees you thinks you need to be together, except for the one person who needs to.
You just can’t figure out what more they need. It’s all there. But apparently they need more and no it’s not their fault either. The kiss can be great, the way that person cracks those ‘really funny; jokes can be awesome too. But is a good chemistry and an awesome kiss enough?
I don’t know.
You’ll find a way, you’ll grow. You’ll find your strength. You’ll try to keep your tiny little heart safe.
Until another message finds itself waiting in your tiny little inbox.
