Lunch.

I’m back at another pub.  Perhaps it’s the same one.  It’s not that empty today.  There are a bunch of youngsters celebrating their friend’s birthday.  I can’t tell who the birthday girl or boy is.  All the girls are wearing extremely pretty dresses.  The boys,  well are dressed decently,  all in plaid shirts.

My friend was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago.  The DJ keeps running between his table,  where he’s busy eating,  and the console to play songs. The songs have some variation today.  Thankfully.

Oh,  the birthday kids just lit a dangerous candle,  almost setting fire to the birthday girl’s hair.  Yes,  I found the birthday girl.  Right now,  the flash from their camera is blinding me.

The DJ gets up again, he’s now playing Let Her Go, by Passenger.

Staring at the bottom of your glass,
Hoping one day you’ll make a dream last,
But dreams come slow and they go so fast.

Only know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low,
Only hate the road when you’re missin’ home,
Only know you love her when you let her go

Do DJs play songs based on what’s going on in their life? If yes, is this particular DJ going through a heart break?

I don’t know.

It doesn’t matter I see my friend walk towards me.
Got to go.

P.S: Birthday kids are still busy clicking photos.  BTW, when did they start allowing kids in pubs? Sigh.
