I happened to read a rather wonderful blog, thanks to ‘A’. The writer, Bryana has a way with words and she beautifully weaves them into sentences. (you can check her blog here: http://bryanajohnson.com)
I had also been feeling a little low over the week. But, when today happened I learnt that sometimes despite the heavy and dark clouds, the sun can and will shine brightly.
Now, the blog that I happened to read had a beautiful poem that made me realise… good things do happen to people.
Here is the poem.
Sometimes things don’t go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscatel
faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don’t fail,
sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well.
A people sometimes will step back from war;
elect an honest man, decide they care
enough, that they can’t leave some stranger poor.
Some men become what they were born for.
Sometimes our best efforts do not go
amiss, sometimes we do as we meant to.
The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow
that seemed hard frozen: may it happen for you.
This is for you and I want you to remember this poem.
I hope the sun shines brightly on your dark day.
