He really doesn’t believe in saying ‘I love you’. Oh no, he won’t say it.
He’ll instead say words that sound a lot like ‘love’, but he’ll rarely say it, say it (if you know what I mean).
So I stopped looking for his words.
I looked at his actions and there it was,
Loud and clear,
In bold, perhaps,
Uppercase as well,
Maybe italics (or maybe not).
Like a neon signboard,
In pink or some jazzy colour,
Flickering on and off, on and off.
You can switch off the signboard, yes you can.
But the words will always be there.
